PSG Cornwall provides commercial conveyancing searches for the purchase and Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) on construction, rental or sale of commercial buildings.

Since April 2008 it has become mandatory to provide a Commercial EPC for any commercial building upon construction or prior to being sold or leased. This survey, conducted by a qualified Non-Domestic Energy Assessor is similar to the residential version with an energy-rating graph but is more time-consuming and complex to produce. They must be made available to a prospective buyer or tenant or you may be liable for a fine at 12.5% of the rateable value of the building up to a maximum of £5,000.
